About Rebecca

Bec McWilliam is a holistic psychologist working and living in the beautiful Gold Coast, Australia. At the core of her essence, Bec is an intuitive, compassionate and healing Psychologist offering a supportive and safe place for all.

Bec graduated from James Cook University in Townsville, North Queensland with a Bachelor of Psychology, and has since worked with the Australian Defence Force, within the Criminal Justice System, worked with people with disabilities through the NDIS realm and is now in private practice and online.

Bec takes a holistic approach to treatment, which means she looks at the body-mind-soul connection. By soul, she means what is at the core of you- what lights you up, your values, what is important to you. Without this body-mind-soul connection we can feel as if we are not reaching our full potential and may feel as if there is a part “missing”. Bec likes to work collaboratively with other health care professionals to make sure she is giving the best care possible whether in session or during her courses/ workshops/ events.

Personally, Bec loves the ocean and anything nature related. If you aren’t seeing her at one of the local cafes or at the beach, she will most likely be at a pilates or yoga class, or with her dog Appa.

There are many different modalities Bec uses within therapy and through her teachings, Bec uses techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Exposure Therapy, EFT, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, alongside many other treatments.
